Karen Frey on iceberg doing research

Engage with an intimate community of international scholars and collaborate with some of the most innovative thinkers on substantive research, publications, and public presentations.

Clark University offers Ph.D. programs in eight fields: its nationally top-ranked geography Ph.D., its distinguished psychology Ph.D. (clinical, developmental and social), its unique history Ph.D. in Holocaust and genocide studies, economics, and four STEM disciplines (biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, chemistry, and physics). As the first university in the United States initially dedicated exclusively to graduate level training and research, our doctoral programs have championed rigorous intellectual inquiry since Clark University’s founding in 1887. All our Ph.D. programs provide close-knit and diverse communities of peers who will become lifelong collaborators, and all are supported by the guidance of exceptional faculty members.
