Clark honors faculty for their outstanding accomplishments in academics


Professors recognized for achievements in their respective departments

Clark University faculty members have been recognized for their outstanding work as teachers, advisers, and researchers. The annual awards were presented during a virtual ceremony on Oct. 27, which was followed by an in-person reception at Harrington House.

This year’s honorees include:

David P. Angel Senior Faculty Award, Established by the Steinbrecher Family

Oliver and Dorothy Hayden Junior Faculty Fellowship Award

Hodgkins Junior Faculty Awards

Rosalind S. Roberts Faculty Award

Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award 

Outstanding Graduate Mentor/Adviser

Additionally, the ceremony honored faculty members who were awarded tenure and/or promoted to associate professor, including Donald Spratt (Chemistry), Magda Tsaneva (Economics), and David Tang (School of Management).

The following faculty were also recognized as members promoted to professor, professor of practice, or senior lecturer: Ken Basye (Computer Science), Gideon Bahir-Maschler (Mathematics), Ken MacLean (International Development, Community, and Environment), Mark Davidson (Geography), and Sergio Granados-Focil (Chemistry).

All faculty were honored with the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award and Outstanding Undergraduate Adviser Award.
