Seminar Series Postponed for Spring 2020 Semester
The Gustaf H. Carlson School of Chemistry is a small, close-knit, friendly community of researchers. Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates work closely together, investigating the properties of materials ranging from molecular structures and nanoparticles to DNA and high-performance carbon fiber composites.
We offer majors and minors in chemistry, as well as in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a flexible curriculum that can be tailored toward your career goals.
Qualified Clark undergraduates may pursue an accelerated B.A./M.S. degree in chemistry, or in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a fifth year paid for by a scholarship.
Our doctoral program offers advanced study in biophysical chemistry, chemical biology, inorganic chemistry, materials chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, polymer chemistry, and biochemistry and molecular biology.
Students learn alongside faculty whose impactful research on health- and materials-related chemistry contributes to answering some of society’s most pressing scientific questions.
Our undergraduate and master’s alumni find jobs right of school in industry or pursue graduate school. Our doctoral alumni land positions as academic faculty, post-doctoral scholars, or working for companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, PCI Synthesis, and Novartis.
