Celebration of Race & Redemption: A Virtual Juneteenth Event

In celebration of Juneteenth, join the Clark Black Alumni Association for this virtual conversation with Professor Ousmane Power-Greene, Ph.D., associate professor in the History department and Clark’s director of Africana Studies. Dr. Power-Greene will address the 15 years of inspiration (all at Clark!) that went into his recently published novel, The Confessions of Matthew Strong.

Join the Alumni & Friends Book Club for a session dedicated to building your summer reading list! Clark’s University Librarian, Laura Robinson, will lead a discussion about a variety of books, and help attendees plan their summer reading list.

WooSox Game for Clark Alumni & Friends

Join Clark alumni and friends on June 25 for a WooSox game at Polar Park! Guests will watch from the Shaw’s Visitors Bullpen event space, a shaded deck with picnic-style tables and chairs to gather at, as well as a section of unassigned stadium seats. Complimentary buffet and reception starts at noon.

Company One Theatre and the CBAA Present: “The Boy Who Kissed the Sky”

Join the Clark Black Alumni Association (CBAA) and Company One Theatre (founded by six Clarkies) at the Strand Theatre in Boston for a reception and performance of “The Boy Who Kissed the Sky,” directed by Summer L. Williams ’01, M.A.Ed. ’02. The play is inspired by the early life and influences of musical icon Jimi Hendrix.
