Co-Chair

Taylor Laflamme graduated from Clark in 2023 and completed her 5th year master’s in 2024 in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

During her time at Clark, Taylor was deeply involved in fostering connections within the university community. She served as the Co-President of the Student Alumni Relations Committee her sophomore, junior, and senior years, while also sitting as the student representative on Clark’s Alumni Council. In addition to her leadership roles, Taylor conducted Protein Biochemistry research at the Dr. Donald Spratt lab. Her work focused on investigating the structural effects of small molecule drugs on ankyrin-repeat containing oncoproteins. She presented her undergraduate work at The Protein Society Symposium in Boston and ended her 5th year by traveling to Lorne Australia to present her graduate work at the Lorne Protein Structure and Function Conference.

After graduating, Taylor transitioned into the Boston Biotech world. She currently works as a protein biochemist, focusing on producing and characterizing proteins for potential vaccine candidates. Taylor is passionate about vaccine education and advocating for women in scientific roles.

Taylor joined the GOLD Council after completing her undergrad and believes that there is always more to be done in fostering alumni-student and  alumni-alumni relationships. She looks forward to collaborating with and learning from her fellow Co-chair leaders.
