Careers

Screen studies graduates are working at the highest levels of the film and television industry — and in graduate programs at some of the most competitive schools in the country. The combination of critical thinking, production skills, and writing ability that the major develops is genuinely valued across the media landscape.

Where graduates work

Recent Screen Studies alumni have held positions at:

AMC Networks, Apple, the Emmy Awards, Fox, FX, HBO, Hulu, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Peacock, Showtime Networks, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Technicolor-PostWorks New York, Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Roles have included associate producer of digital content, assistant editor, senior compositor, producer and director, and president of an independent media company.

Graduate study

Screen Studies graduates have pursued advanced degrees at Columbia, Emerson, Emory, George Mason, Georgia State, Kent State, MIT, Pratt, The New School, New York University (both Steinhardt and Tisch), UCLA, USC, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the American Film Institute Conservatory, and the Selznick Graduate Program in Film and Media Preservation.

The Clark 4+1

Screen studies students can pursue Clark’s 4+1 Accelerated Master’s, adding credentials in a fifth year in areas such as communications, business, or interactive media.
