  Enrollment is limited to ensure meaningful faculty and peer engagement.

Program 2: Discover Psychology — Summer Research Intensive

Two‑Week Residential Program

Take your exploration of psychology to the next level with this immersive, research‑focused summer experience. Designed for motivated students, the Discover Psychology Summer Research Intensive builds directly on the foundation of the Summer Academy and invites you to step into the role of a real researcher. Over two weeks, you’ll design and conduct an original study, collect and analyze data, and prepare your findings for professional presentation.

Students who successfully complete the program earn college credit.

No prior psychology coursework is required.

Housing and meals are included.

• Master Advanced Research Methods
  Learn how psychologists design and conduct studies using experimental, participatory action, and other cutting‑edge research approaches—all through engaging faculty‑led workshops.
• Prepare for College
  Get a true preview of college life: live in the residence halls, study with peers, and participate in a dedicated Personal Statement Writing Workshop to craft or strengthen your college essay.
• Personalized Mentorship
  To ensure meaningful interaction and individualized support, enrollment is limited. Students work closely with Clark faculty mentors throughout the entire research process.
• Lead Your Own Research Project
  Develop a research question that matters to you, gather and interpret your data, and translate your insights into a polished professional presentation.
• Present at Academic Conferences
  Share your work at Clark University’s Fall Research Festival and submit your presentation to the New England Psychology Association (NEPA) Conference—a rare opportunity for high‑school researchers.
