Foundational Area of Focus:

Student Success

students collaborating in the library
Housed in Goddard Library, Academic Commons is an ideal place for students to collaborate. Located at the heart of campus, the library also includes the new student success center.

We will strengthen students’ experience and improve their outcomes by investing in academics and advising, health and wellness services, career services, and financial aid.

Student experience, retention, graduation, and post-graduation outcomes are core to our mission, and they have direct impacts on our ability to deliver on what we promise to prospective students.

“My highest aspiration is to cultivate a fulfilling and holistic experience that inspires you to discover more about yourself, find your calling, and feel love and joy here.”

Kamala C. Kiem
Associate Provost for Student Success
and Dean of Students

As a campus community, we need to provide students with a seamless way to navigate the University, ensuring their journey at Clark promotes their lifelong success. Our students’ path through Clark should be smooth and exceptional at every step of the way, from application and admission, to advising and course registration, to classroom, research, and internship experiences, to residential life, health, wellness, athletics, and recreational programs.

We will offer a holistic experience for students that makes it easier for them to obtain the support they need to flourish at Clark and, after graduation, in their personal and professional lives.
