Physical Environment

Goddard Library
Named for Robert Hutchings Goddard, the Clark physicist who invented the rocket technology that made space travel possible, Goddard Library comprises a cutting-edge facility for research, teaching, and learning with centralized academic and research support services.

We will enhance our buildings and landscape to attract students to Clark and provide a better campus experience for all.

To attract students to Clark and provide them with a transformative liberal arts education and a better campus experience, we need to invest in our buildings and grounds. We will emphasize a student-centered campus life, with spaces for academic collaboration and social connections. These investments will not only benefit our students but faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors for years to come.

“An investment in a new facility is really an investment in Clark’s people.”

President David Fithian

Closely aligned with Clark’s Strategic Framework, our Campus Design Initiative will guide these investments over the coming years.

We will construct new academic, research, recreational, and student-oriented buildings and begin significant renovations of common and shared spaces, including making our campus more accessible and inclusive.
