Clark's Asian Studies major provides an interdisciplinary approach to the study of history, economics, politics, development, culture, languages, and international relations of Asia, encompassing:
East Asia - China, Japan, Taiwan, North and South Korea;
Southeast Asia - Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam; and
South Asia - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Our interdisciplinary curriculum relies on a multi-focal analysis of Asia that increases awareness and deepens understanding of the region. Overall, it is anticipated that this type of scholarly examination will provide students the opportunity to improve their background knowledge of a region and prepare them for a wide range of careers that require a broad understanding of Asia.
