Wright Hall houses exclusively First Year Students. The building houses approximately 202 students and several Resident Advisers. The unique opportunities and sense of community experienced in an exclusively first year hall are just the start of Wright Hall’s many great attributes. Wright Hall’s large size means that you’ll find yourself part of an immense community, full of life and fun! Wright Hall anchors the north side of campus, and is only a minute walk from the the Kneller Athletic Center, the Goddard Library, the Administration Building, and the Little Center. Wright Hall is also within a quick walk of the campus center, including the Higgins University Center, Atwood Hall, and Jonas Clark Hall.
Wright Hall was extensively remodeled in the Summer of 2010. The redesign provided Wright with all new bathrooms, common rooms, kitchen, and laundry facilities. Wright Hall features abundant social and study space throughout its main three floors and basement level. There is a social lounge on every floor, and smaller sitting nooks scattered around. On the first floor you will find a 9 foot billiards table, vending machines, and a multimedia study room with computer terminal and flat screen monitor. Wright Hall also houses Clark’s Commuter Lounge. On the second floor you will find a quiet study room and a laundry center with computer terminal. On the third floor is another quiet study room and a kitchen for residential use. Wright Hall features two common bathrooms with privacy partitions for showering on each floor (plus one in the basement). A new amenity that we are excited to announce is the addition of air conditioning units in each room in Wright Hall.
Wright Hall is comprised of double, single, and triple rooms. Rooms are equipped with beds and mattresses (extra long twin), desks, chairs, bookshelves, built in closets, and window shades. Also provided is telephone, cable, and high speed internet service.
Please note because of the nearly endless variety of room sizes and shapes in the building, we cannot provide specific or even general room dimensions.
