    Frederick Douglass was one of the first people to speak at Mechanics Hall when it opened in 1857. In April, his words again rang out from that stage in ”Frederick: A Cantata on the Life of Frederick Douglass,” conducted by Cailin Marcel Manson, director of music performance at Clark.
