Resources allow Clarkies to help each other with job exploration
Clark has launched a new webinar series and resources page to help alumni at every stage of their careers — including in times of job loss and uncertainty.
The Zoom webinars feature five career coaches, all Clark alumni, who are contributing their time and talent to provide expert advice on a range of topics.
“We’ve been hearing from many alumni, including our most recent graduates, about the challenges they are facing due to the economic downturn,” says Kevin Wesley, executive director of alumni relations. “We believe that these alumni-to-alumni conversations are an ideal way to help Clarkies in a time of need.”
The series kicked off last May as part of Alumni and Friends Engagement’s Week of Community and Caring. With a total of five webinars culminating in September, Clark aims to reach alumni across the world who seek career guidance.
Cindy Michael Wolpert ’90, P’18, a member of Clark’s Board of Trustees, is one of the featured coaching experts and notes that the outreach is a powerful way to share career advice from a trusted source.
“Clarkies have a deep history of helping other Clarkies with career exploration,” she says. “This series is a great way to connect with fellow alumni and give back to the school.”
Webinars now available for viewing are:
- Leveraging Your Clark Network in a Recession, with Cindy Michael Wolpert ’90, P’18
- Winning Interview Strategies, with Abby Locke ’89
In addition, registration is now open for three upcoming events:
- Creating an Eye-Catching Branded Résumé (Sept. 9), with Lisa Krull ’02
- “Allow Me to Introduce Myself”: Tips to help you connect and build rapport in your job search (Sept. 16), with Laura Paradise ’80

The webinars are housed on a new career resources page for alumni. The page, developed by staff at the Career Connections Center, features a number of resources for alumni, including network-building resources, including ClarkCONNECT and LinkedIn; career tests; and industry-specific job boards.
