“Environmental Grassroots Organizations and Activists in Puerto Rico”

I seek a research assistant to help me collect information on environmental grass roots organization and activism in Puerto Rico (and possibly Guadeloupe), plan visits to these organizations, and produce digital/media content.
Required Skills:
- Effective time management and ability to complete tasks independently
- Demonstrated ability to find relevant scholarly literature or willingness to undergo information literacy training through the Goddard Library
- Strong reading comprehension skills in Spanish and English
- Effective oral and written skills for professional communication in Spanish and English
- Ability to produce digital and media content (digital data base, website, etc.)
- Conciseness and clarity in analytical and descriptive writing
Preferred skills:
- First-hand knowledge of the Caribbean
- Experience with, or a willingness to learn, effective file management and data management practices
- Has completed a research methods course in the social sciences
Junior or Senior level students are eligible. This project will be on campus.
