Requirements and orientation
Start here to learn what’s required, meet with our team, and start the process with a short interest form. From there, we’ll help you shape a study abroad experience that fits your academic goals, personal interests, and sense of adventure.
Questions? Come to one of our study abroad drop-in advising sessions, posted on Engage, or make an appointment to meet with a study abroad advisor.
Before coming to an appointment, please attend a study abroad 101 and review the study abroad website. If you aren’t sure where to get started, we invite you to consider the following questions in preparation for your appointment:
- What semester do you plan to study abroad in?
- What do you want to study while abroad?
- What region would you like to study in?
- Are there any programs that interest you?
- Is there a language you would like to study?

Apply
The application process will take place on the Study Abroad application portal.
- Identify a faculty member who can serve as a reference on your application.
- Research courses at the host institution and obtain approval from your faculty advisor for any major or minor requirements you wish to fulfill while abroad.
- Apply to both your program and Clark, by the Clark deadline.
Finalize your enrollment
You’ve been approved—now it’s time to make it official. Before you board your flight, there are several important steps to complete. You’ll receive key communications from both Clark and your host organization—read everything thoroughly and respond promptly.
