Project management program earns prestigious PMI accreditation

Following a rigorous two-year application process, the Master of Science in Project Management program has been accredited by the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Global Accreditation Center (GAC). This prestigious designation demonstrates a commitment to academic quality and excellence and positions Clark’s project management program with peer programs that meet global accreditation standards.

The accreditation assures “future employeers of the quality, reputation, and relevance of your project management education,” according to the Project Management Institute. “It is awarded by the world’s leading specialized accrediting body for project management and related degree programs, the Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs.”

Accreditation provides clear benefits to students. Among them:

  • GAC accreditation indicates program graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce.
  • Project management students pursue a curriculum aligned with industry-standard certifications, including Project Management Professional, the global gold standard that proves a person’s ability to lead projects across any industry.
  • Students benefit from having courses count toward the educational requirements needed to earn PMI certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management  or Project Management Professional.
  • Students are eligible for exclusive PMI scholarship opportunities.

“Clark’s MSPM program’s accreditation by the PMI Global Accreditation Center is a testament to the dedication of our talented faculty, hardworking students, supportive alumni, and engaged industry advisory council,” said MSPM Program Director Mary Piecewicz. “This designation reflects the academic rigor of our curriculum, the outstanding support provided by our administrative staff, and our program’s deep commitment to experiential learning. A special thank-you to Associate Provost and Dean John Labrie for his unwavering support and encouragement throughout our two-year journey toward this world-recognized credential.”
