Podcast featuring Clark musician wins Murrow Award

A podcast featuring Clark Professor Cailin Marcel Manson has received the 2026 Edward R. Murrow Award in the Small Market Television division.

The Edward R. Murrow Awards, presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association, recognize work across video, digital reporting, podcasts, feature storytelling, and news series.

“Cailin Marcel Manson Ain’t Your Average Maestro,” an episode of Vermont Public’s Homegoings podcast, first aired on Dec. 3, 2025. The episode first won the regional award before being considered for the national honor.

In the episode, Manson, a baritone, conductor, and educator, talked about what it means to command a space long dominated by white men.
