Ghosh named interim associate dean of undergraduate scholarship

In a message to campus on August 28, Dean of the College Laurie Ross announced that Professor Cyril Ghosh has been appointed as Interim Associate Dean of Undergraduate Scholarship.

In this new part-time administrative role, Ghosh will provide faculty leadership for prestigious fellowships and scholarships, ClarkFEST, undergraduate research visibility, and the relaunch of the Scholarly Undergraduate Research Journal (SURJ). He will work across the University to expand students’ access to national and internal competitive opportunities and strengthen how Clark showcases, preserves, and promotes undergraduate scholarly and creative work. 

Ghosh is an associate professor of political science, the Lloyd B. Politsch ’33 Chair of Law, and Clark’s Prelaw Advisor. He received Clark’s 2025 Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award and brings to this position a deep commitment to student mentorship and academic excellence. He will continue to teach courses in Constitutional Law and American Government as well as serve as the pre-law advisor.
