Heather’s research interests include essaying and the craft of writing, true crime, and human-animal relationships. Her creative work has appeared in Equinox, The Carolina Quarterly, Bennington Review, 580Split, and other fine places. She is co-editor with Francesca Borrione of Reshaping True Crime Stories from the Global Margins: Voicing the Less Dead (Lexington Books) and a hybrid chapbook, The Blue House On Cone Hill Road & Other (Dog) Habitations (Bottlecap Press).
