For Nate Edwards-Roseney, a love of basketball has opened doors. At Clark, he was a guard on the men’s basketball team for two years and got to know team mentor Nadia Ward, executive director of the Mosakowski Institute for Public Enterprise. That led to being named a Mosakowski Institute Fellow during his junior and senior years, when he helped implement a social development curriculum at Southbridge (Mass.) High School, led lessons in ninth-grade wellness classes, and helped the high schoolers apply the skills they learned.
Despite stepping away from the court at Clark, Edwards-Roseney continued to stay active in the basketball world. He joined an international placement team and played professionally in Serbia last year. And through his basketball connections, he earned a role as a Harlem Globetrotter in the 2025 film “Marty Supreme.” After graduating, he plans to return to Serbia to play; after that, he says, he’ll work on applying his psychology degree in an education setting.
