You are embarking on one of the most exciting times of your life as you begin your graduate education. The Graduate Admissions Office wants to help you succeed and make an easy transition to Clark. Please complete these easy steps to finalize your enrollment and prepare for your first semester!

Once you have decided on your final plans for your graduate education, please submit the Enrollment Reply Form. Even if you have decided not to attend Clark, submitting this form will update your record to ensure that we are aware of your final decision.

Students enrolling in a master’s program at Clark are required to pay a deposit to secure their place in the program.* Deposits can be submitted online by following the payment link in your application status page. Enrollment deposits are nonrefundable.

*Certain doctorate and certificate programs do not require an enrollment deposit.

The most common condition of enrollment is to submit a hard copy of your official transcripts and/or degree confirmation. The transcript must show the degree awarded.  Your admission letter will specify whether our office has received an official transcript.

If you already submitted an official transcript during the application process, this step is complete!

The deadline to submit final transcripts is January 1.


All students are required to obtain a Clark OneCard. It is your official University identification and should be carried with you at all times. Please submit a high-quality digital photograph or passport picture online at the following link. Information on photo requirements can also be found on their website. If you have questions, please email

Email Account

Soon after your deposit has been processed, you will receive instructions from the Graduate Admissions Office on how to activate your Clark email account. You will be notified by email when the instructions have been posted to your applicant status page. If your email address has changed or needs to be updated, please log in to your online account and update your email address in the applicant status page.

Once your Clark email address has been activated, you should check it often. Note also that you cannot register for classes without activating your Clark email account.

Immunization Information

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all students at any college within the state show a complete record of immunity against communicable disease. To ensure the best health for you and all Clark students, you will need to have your health care provider complete the required graduate immunization forms.

Once you have the complete forms, please upload them to your online account as “Immunization Forms” in your applicant status page. Please be sure to bring your original immunization forms with you when you come to Clark for orientation.

The deadline to submit immunization forms is January 1.

Health Insurance

According to Massachusetts state law, all full-time international students must be enrolled in Clark’s student health insurance plan. The cost to an individual student is $1,647 for the annual plan and $1,061 for new students starting in the spring.

Domestic students may waive the university’s student health insurance with proof of comparable coverage by a private health insurance plan. If you choose to waive Clark’s health plan, you must submit our insurance waiver to provide proof of insurance coverage. Please note, you must be sure to have adequate health insurance coverage (suggested minimum $200,000 per year) and your insurer must have a United States billing address.

Regardless of how you are insured, you must show proof of insurance prior to course registration.

The deadline to enroll in the student health insurance plan, or to submit the health insurance waiver, is December 15.


All enrolling students who do not have U.S. citizenship are required to obtain a visa to enter the United States, and will need to receive an I-20 Form from Clark University in order to matriculate.

The following items are needed for an I-20 to be processed:

  • International Student Form (found within the application portal)
  • Bank statement (no more than six months old)
  • Signed Affidavit of Support (this is needed if bank statements are not in your name and you are not using personal funds to finance your education)
  • A copy of your passport

Bank statements and affidavits of support can be dated no more than six months from the date of submission to be valid for I-20 production.

Please submit all of the above materials by uploading them to your online application account. For the next steps in the visa process, such as paying your Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee and scheduling an interview at the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate, please read the SEVIS and F-1 Visa Instructions.

Parking Permits

If you plan on bringing your vehicle to campus, there are a variety of options available to you as a new student of Clark. Please see our Parking Forms page for more information about campus parking decals and regulations.

On-Campus Housing

New graduate students are strongly encouraged to live in Clark’s on-campus housing, if possible. There is limited availability for the spring term, assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. To apply for on-campus housing, please go to the ClarkYOU portal. On the left hand side, there is a Housing & Dining Self-Service link- please navigate to that webpage. At the top of the page is an “applications” tab- if you click the drop down, the housing application will be available there starting November 1.

Off-Campus Housing

If you prefer to live off-campus, there are several apartment complexes located nearby. To assist students with their off-campus housing search, Clark uses Jump Off Campus. This site posts apartments in the area, as they become available.*

New Student Orientation is more than a time to register for your classes; it’s your chance to explore campus, get to know your future classmates and faculty, and learn about student services. You will meet your adviser and prepare for the undertaking of your program’s curriculum. Orientation is also a time to learn about life on and around the Clark campus. You will meet new friends and colleagues, as well as Clark faculty and staff.

Please bring any missing transcripts and immunization forms with you to orientation in order to finalize your enrollment. International students should also bring their travel documents to the event.

We know that one of the most exciting parts of planning to attend graduate school is figuring out what classes you are going to take. At Clark, we are here to support you and make sure that you start off on the right foot. Your academic adviser will work with you one-on-one to ensure that you understand your degree requirements and take the right classes.

You will work with your advisers during orientation (or prior to the start of the semester, if your program has no formal orientation) to register for your first classes. Review the recommended course loads and required core classes for your program, as well as the courses being offered this semester. If you like, prepare a draft schedule that you can discuss with your adviser during orientation.

Your first-semester bill is based on the average course load for a student in your program. Students enrolling in the fall will receive their bill in July; spring enrollees will receive their bill in December. You will have approximately 24 calendar days prior to the start of classes to satisfy your bill. After your due date, your account will also be noted with a “hold,” which is not removed until you have satisfied your bill. Once you have cleared your account (by paying your bill or contacting Student Accounts about special arrangements), this hold will be removed from your record.

Please be sure to pay your tuition and fees by the due date indicated in your online account.

Q. How do I defer my admission if I am unable to attend Clark for the term to which I was accepted?

A. You may be eligible to request that your application be deferred. If you are unable to enroll in your planned term of entry, please contact our Graduate Admissions Office. We will assist you with the process of deferring your enrollment to a future semester.

Q. How do I submit my official transcripts?

A. In order to register without holds on your student account, we will need official transcripts from your previous institutions of study. Please forward your documentation to the address below:
