
Psychology is a research-intensive field, covering a wide range of topics, including the psychology of genocide, child development, abnormal psychology, and more. Undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in research activities as early as their first year; graduate students are required to build a research portfolio.

Our faculty and doctoral student researchers cover wide range of psychology subfields, with dissertations focusing on relevant topics including the opioid crisis, LGBTQ+ issues, relationships, the experiences of black women, and toxic masculinity.
