‘Students help our campus run’


National Student Employment Week recognizes contributions to life at Clark

The ITS Help Desk in the Academic Commons is just one area of campus staffed by student workers.

 

Clark is recognizing on-campus student workers during National Student Employment Week, April 8 to 12, with a series of events celebrating their contributions to the University.

“More than 1,000 students help our campus run,” says Julie Bolduc, director of the Office of Student Employment. “They assist their fellow students, keep offices running smoothly, and so much more. This year, as part of our festivities, we’ve weaved in opportunities to help them recognize the career-readiness competencies they are gaining with fun games, treats, and a chance to win prizes.”

Activities this week include:

Red Square Celebration

Monday, April 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Featuring treats, raffles, games, and trivia

Pop-Up in the Higgins University Center

Wednesday, April 10; 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Featuring treats, raffles, games, and trivia

Pop-up in the Academic Commons

Thursday, April 11; Noon to 2 p.m.
Featuring treats, raffles, games, and trivia

Work Week Wind-Down

Friday, April 12; 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center
Featuring treats, raffles, and coloring

National Student Employment Week was created by the National Student Employment Association, which has declared that the second week in April each year be set aside to recognize the value of student employees.
