The University hopes to return to normal status by this fall
Clark University will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Kneller Athletic Center. The clinic, which will be operated by Pelmeds, is open to Clark students as well as staff, faculty, and their families — including children ages 16 and older.
These are the important details to know:
- The May 11 clinic will offer the Pfizer vaccine. Since the Pfizer vaccine requires two doses administered about three weeks apart, a second clinic will be held June 1 for those requiring the second Pfizer dose. At the June 1 clinic, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine also will be available. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires a single dose.
- You can preregister for your May 11 vaccination appointment here.
- Walk-ins also are welcome on the day of the clinic. If you are a walk-in, you will register for your vaccination on site.
- After receiving your vaccination, you will sit in a waiting area for 15 minutes, where you will be monitored for any adverse effects.
- Regular COVID-19 testing will continue to be held in the Kneller on the day of the clinic.
“If you have not yet been vaccinated, I strongly urge you to take advantage of this clinic and get yourself protected against the virus, which continues to exert its presence forcefully, especially among young people,” said Jack Foley, vice president of government and community relations and chair of the Clark Reopening Committee.
“Widespread vaccinations are Clark’s most effective tool to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infections on campus and gives us the best chance to safely reopen this fall under normal or near-normal conditions, which means in-person classes, indoor activities, and relaxing of physical distancing and masking requirements. This degree of normalcy can only be achieved by getting us as close as possible to a 100% vaccination rate.”
