Clark Summer Series explores how science fiction reimagines troubled times

Esther Jones, dean of the faculty, (left) and Betsy Huang, dean of the college, will present “Sci Fi, Race & the Radical Imagination” on July 8 at noon.

How do you make an audience laugh … then do it again the next night?

What are some ways to harness inspiration and turn it into art, especially during turbulent times?

Can you get fit and reduce stress without having to leave the house?

The Clark Summer Series has taken a crack at answering all these questions with a roster of entertaining and informative webinars that are available for viewing on-demand. Through these videos, participants have learned the struggles and joys of stand-up comedy from Charles Gould ’07 (see video below), been given insight into the artist’s journey by professors Toby Sisson and John Aylward, and were (gently) stretched to their limits in a yoga and meditation session delivered by Erica Beachy, director of wellness education at Clark.
