Clark University Board of Trustees adds four new members


The Clark University Board of Trustees has added four new members: Andrew T. Brandman, of New York City; Kevin D. Cherry, of Roxbury, Mass.; Daniel O. Hirsch, of Chevy Chase, Md.; and Paul Saltzman, of Scarsdale, N.Y. All received their undergraduate degrees from Clark.

Brandman, Hirsch, and Saltzman are term trustees who were elected by the Board; Cherry was elected by the membership of the Clark University Alumni Association. All will serve through June 30, 2019.

Brandman is the executive vice president and chief administrative officer for CIT in New York. He previously served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at NYSE Euronext. Brandman earned his B.A. in 1991.

Cherry is the chief financial officer of the South End Community Health Center in Boston. Prior to that, he was an education manager at the Public Consulting Group, Inc. He is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame at Clark, as well as the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. Cherry earned his B.A. in 1981.

Hirsch is chief operating officer and general counsel at Potomac River Capital, LLC, in Washington, D.C. Prior to his current position, he served as a chief counsel for PNC Capital Advisors. Hirsch received his B.A. in 1977.

Saltzman is president of The Clearing House Association and executive vice president and general counsel for The Clearing House Payments Company in New York. He is also a member of the Clark University LEEP Advisory Committee. Saltzman received his B.A. in 1982.

“Our Board of Trustees plays a critical role in advancing the mission of Clark as a small liberal arts research university. We welcome each of our new trustees as ambassadors of higher education. They bring a unique set of academic, work, and life experiences and insights that will enable them to engage with and guide us in providing our students with an outstanding education,” said Clark President David P. Angel.
