Pooja Ramankutty

Visiting Assistant Professor, School of Business

Pooja Ramankutty is a Visiting Professor of Marketing at Clark University’s School of Business. She recently graduated with her PhD in International Business and Marketing at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. Prior to her doctoral degree, she obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, from California State University, East Bay in 2021.  She also earned a bachelor’s degree (BS) in Psychological and Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2019. 

Within marketing, Pooja’s research interests lie in the domain of Transformative Consumer Research (TCR),  specifically focusing on consumer well-being. Pooja’s research is dedicated to understanding marginalized and/or underrepresented consumer populations and thoroughly examining how current sociopolitical climates affect consumer behavior. Her current research includes topics such as retail therapy likelihood, religiosity and spirituality effects on Generation Z’s consumerism, as well as acculturative stress amongst first-generation Indian immigrants and second-generation Indian Americans.
