Introductory remarks about the work of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute in Yerevan by Edita Gzoyan
Using the Armenian Genocide as a case study, this lecture examines clothing, forced undressing, and imposed nakedness along the deportation routes. It considers both the symbolic and practical significance of dress, including its relationship to bodily violation, humiliation, and vulnerability, as well as its basic protective function under harsh environmental conditions.
