Research Interests: Properties of organic superconductors and other materials in high, pulsed magnetic fields and low temperatures. Experiment and simulation of heat transfer in transonic gas mixtures. Technology of renewable energy.

Barbara Carpogrosso Sansone

Research Interests: Computational physics. Strongly correlated many-body systems, phase transitions, ultracold atoms and polar molecules, superfluidity, development of quantum Monte Carlo algorithms.
Arshad Kudrolli

Research Interests: Professor Kudrolli does experiments on a broad range of non-equilibrium phenomena, granular materials, and biological physics. Topics include grain shape and dynamics, scaled-up ciliary flow and synchronization, crumpling, self-assembly, erosion geomorphology, and population dynamics in bacterial colonies.

Ranjan Mukhopadhyay

Research Interests: Professor Mukhopadhyay works on a range of theoretical and computational problems at the interface of physics and biology. He is fascinated by the mysteries of life at the meso-scale; a central goal of his biophysical research is to uncover the physical and organizational principles that arise at scales between atoms and organisms.
Alexander Petroff

Research Interests: Professor Petroff is an experimental physicist who uses hydrodynamics and reaction diffusion equations to understand the organization, dynamics, and evolution of microbial systems in table-top experiments. He has previously published several studies on the growth and geometry of river networks and stromatolites.
