Our speaker, Pheakkdey Nguon, Ph.D. ’16, is a 2025 Yale Emerging Climate Leader Fellow and Senior Forest Governance Expert at the European Forest Institute with extensive experience in environmental policies (EUDR, FLEGT, REDD+), sustainable landscapes, and climate initiatives. His current research exploring EUDR impacts on smallholder timber producers in Indonesia and Lao PDR is supported by a fellowship from the International Tropical Timber Organization.
