Clark’s MFA in Visual Arts program presents an Art Talk with visiting faculty member RJ Messineo.
RJ Messineo makes paintings that involve observation and abstraction, and engages a wide and sometimes incongruous range of scale relationships, mark-making, and compositional structures, drawing on expressionist gesture, process-based systems, and chance encounters.
Messineo is represented by CANADA, New York City, and Morán Morán, Los Angeles, and has exhibited at venues such as Pace Gallery, James Cohan Gallery, and Thomas Erben Gallery, all in New York, City; Ceysson & Bénétière and Koerich, Luxembourg; and Night Gallery, Los Angeles.
