Clark University’s observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day will include several events this week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Higgins Lounge at Dana Commons, a panel of Clark faculty will discuss King’s continued legacy on today’s society. Letina Jeranyama (education), Ohene Boateng (political science), and Cyril Ghosh (political science) will offer reflections on the slain civil rights leader’s impact and invite attendees to share their thoughts and ask questions.

Clark’s observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day continues on Friday, Jan. 23, with a Day of Service; students may register to volunteer with two of Clark’s community partners, the Worcester County Food Bank and the AME Zion Church.

In addition, the University is sponsoring a canned food drive through Feb. 28.
