Bernard C. Moore, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Basel (Switzerland), will join Professor Nana Kesse’s African Environmental History class to discuss the pressing global climate change crisis in southern Africa and its impact on Namibia’s land and biodiversity. This promises to be an engaging and enlightening discussion that will deepen our understanding of environmentalism in Africa.

At the University of Basel’s Centre for African Studies, Dr. Moore researches the past and present connections between nature conservation, land, and climate change. Much of his research deals with the economic and environmental history of Namibia and South Africa.
