AI can do considerably more than answer student questions or generate text. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore prompting strategies and several ways of using AI to engage students more actively with course material, including working with texts, using pre-prepared AI agents, and creating structured Socratic interactions. Examples will include the Socr-AI-tic Builder and other approaches faculty can adapt to their own courses.
Workshops will be led by Mark Jacobs, a Clark alum, part-time faculty member, and Faculty Fellow for AI Pedagogy. Mark has deep experience in teaching and learning and most recently has been developing the Soc-AI-tic Lab for Collaborative Pedagogy.
