What should faculty know about AI before deciding how or whether to use it in their courses? We’ll introduce the basics of how generative AI works, discuss common concerns and possible responses, and use the Stoplight Model to think through appropriate uses of AI by students. Participants will begin considering where AI might support, rather than undermine, their own pedagogical goals.
Workshops will be led by Mark Jacobs, a Clark alum, part-time faculty member, and Faculty Fellow for AI Pedagogy. Mark has deep experience in teaching and learning and most recently has been developing the Soc-AI-tic Lab for Collaborative Pedagogy.
