SAGE Event posterWith the 2021 publication of The SAGE Encyclopedia of Trans Studies, edited by Abbie Goldberg and Genny Beemyn, a timely question is, what is the state of trans studies now and in the future? Join us for a panel of leading scholars to discuss this topic.

This event is the second in a series of events being held to mark the publication of The SAGE Encyclopedia of Trans Studies. The panelists are all key leaders in trans studies, and contributors to the encyclopedia; attendees will be given free access to their entries.

Moderated by Genny Beemyn, Director, UMass Stonewall Center

Panelists include: Marquis Bey (Assistant Professor of African American Studies & English at Northwestern University), Aaron Devor (Founder of the Transgender Archives; Professor of Sociology at the University of Victoria), Julian Kevon Glover (Assistant Professor of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University), Kristen Renn (Professor of Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education at Michigan State University), and Ann Travers (Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Simon Fraser University.
