“Plato’s Socrates and His Conception of Philosophy”

Eric Brown of Washington University in St. Louis will present his talk,

Professor Brown received his PhD in 1997 from the University of Chicago.  He is a well-known specialist in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy and has published widely both on classical Greek philosophy (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and the Cynics) as well as on Hellenistic and Roman thought (the Epicureans and Stoics).
