Serving you throughout your Clark journey
The Academic Advising Center offers general academic services to help you plan your academic program. Work with us to explore majors — or to design your own; develop strategies to overcome academic difficulties; receive assistance around learning or special needs; evaluate transfer credits; and more.
In your first year at Clark, you will be assigned a faculty adviser to help you select your courses and programs. Once you declare your major, faculty within that academic department will coordinate your academic advising. However, you may continue to receive support from the Academic Advising Center. We are here for you.
please note:
Beginning March 23, academic advising appointments for course selection assistance will be held via email or Skype. Schedule meetings with Evette Walters, director, at calendly.com/ewalters, or Tyra Lewis, assistant director, at calendly.com/tlewis-aa.
There have been a number of changes to course registration, deadlines, classes, and academic policies, including a new Pass/Fail grading option this semester. Please visit Clark’s COVID-19 page for updates and more information, including Frequently Asked Questions about the Pass/Fail option.
For general information about advising, email advising@clarku.edu.
My adviser, John Magee, has helped me grow as a computer scientist and has helped me choose courses that would be a good fit for me.
Majors: Computer Science and Economics
Minor: Management
Denis Larochelle, my pre-health adviser, has helped me stay on track with classes necessary for medical school. He is a great resource for any of my medical school questions.
Major: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
I feel so grateful to have been able to self-design my major, which is social and environmental justice. I have the flexibility to be as interdisciplinary as possible, and I am supported by wonderful faculty.
