This multi-day conference gathers 33 advanced doctoral students and early post-doctoral scholars from 15 countries. Selected from a competitive pool of applicants, the participants represent a young generation of scholars who will advance Holocaust and genocide research for generations to come. Inquiring into a broad range of topics, including sexual violence, forced labor, abortion, youths and children, survival by passing; the role of humor, food, and art; and the destiny of refugees during and after the Holocaust, their paper topics hint at the future of the field while and shedding light on other genocides.
