Seasoned cell and developmental biologist with a passion for using molecular genetics and quantitative imaging techniques to understand and manipulate cell behavior.
I have had the pleasure of studying the metabolic regulation of cell cycle in the early Drosophila embryo, adult stem cell biology in the Drosophila larva and conducting cell reprogramming in the C elegans embryo.
Experienced in experimental design in an interdisciplinary setting, grant writing and have published utilizing techniques in quantitative biology, live imaging, immunofluorescence imaging, molecular genetics, reverse genetics with RNAi and CRISPR, cell biology and embryology.Degrees
- Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, University of California, Santa Barbara, 2011
- B.S. in Biotechnology, University of California, Davis, 2003
