Join the Career Connections Center for a field trip to Boston’s Seaport District to visit two exciting companies at the cutting edge of finance, investment management and technology, GMO and Fidelity’s Center for Applied Technology! You will have an opportunity to;
- Meet Clark alumni and professionals,
- Take a tour of two dynamic workplaces,
- Engage in a dialogue about industry trends
- And, learn more about careers in investment management, fintech and finance.
GMO: A firm comprised of investment teams that partners with an impressive roster of sophisticated clients worldwide, delivering innovative investment solutions and tailored client service, including a focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors.
Fidelity’s FCAT Labs: Where Fidelity prototypes and designs products to improve people’s financial lives including, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, digital currencies or blockchains and more.
Who: This trek is for undergraduate students only. Students from all majors are encouraged to attend this trip. For students interested specifically in careers in finance, investment management, trading and more, this day will be particularly valuable to your career exploration.
Schedule will include:
-Bus leaves Clark at 8 AM
-Arrive at GMO for an introduction to industry insight, an investing exercise, a discussion on Climate Change Investing and a career panel discussion.
-Lunch Provided
-Arrive at Fidelity’s Center for Applied Technology for a presentation by key professionals, tour of the technology labs and networking.
-Bus back to Clark!
