Dr. Lindiwe Sibeko is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition in the School of Public Health at UMass Amherst. Her research focuses on optimizing health outcomes among women and children vulnerable to health inequities in both local and international settings. Dr. Sibeko has a particular interest in addressing breastfeeding disparities among African American women, who have the lowest breastfeeding rates across the nation but the highest infant mortality rates, a risk factor that is modifiable through increased breastfeeding.
