Volume 1: A Conversation with Professor Parminder Bhachu

Goddard Library is delighted to invite members of the Clark community, all interested alumni, friends, and members of our world community to the first volume of a new series dedicated to celebrating the works of Clark authors. The series will kick off with a conversation with Professor Parminder Bhachu who will discuss her book, Movers and Makers: Uncertainty, Resilience and Migrant Creativity in Worlds of Flux (Routledge, 2021).

Professor Parminder Bhachu is the author of Twice Migrants and Dangerous Designs and co-editor of Enterprising Women and Immigration and Entrepreneurship. She is professor of sociology at Clark University. She has held a Henry R. Luce Professorship in Cultural Identities and Global Processes and has been a director of Women’s Studies. She has lived in multiple sites in East Africa, the United Kingdom, and on both the east and west coasts of the United States.
