Dr. Hong received an M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Ph.D. in Economics from University of California, Davis. She worked at the IMF Research Department in Washington, DC before joining Clark in 2008.   

Current Research and Teaching

Dr. Hong's specializes in international economics and development. She has been doing research on patterns of trade, employment, productivity, international competitiveness, and exchange rate in China. She teaches introductory economics, international economics, macroeconomics and undergraduate and Ph.D. international trade.
