In May of 2006, Clark University broke ground on Blackstone Hall, a new apartment style residence hall. This state of the art facility opened to students for the 2007-2008 academic year, and primarily houses junior, senior, and some graduate students. Blackstone Hall, located along Beaver Street and Florence Street, houses 208 students in 44 apartment units. Each unit houses 4 or 6 students in a mix of double and single rooms. Blackstone Hall is located on the south side of campus adjacent to the Lasry Center for Bioscience. It is also the closest residence facility to the Dolan Field House.
Blackstone Hall facilities
Blackstone Hall features modern amenities such as central air conditioning and full kitchens with dishwashers. Throughout the building are numerous study and social spaces, including study lounges, comfortable seating areas, and a large social lounge with a 50" Plasma TV. The Blackstone Hall laundry room is located on the third floor and features 3 public computer stations and a 42" Plasma TV. Blackstone Hall is the only building with a public access elevator, and also brings new technology like wireless internet to the students living there.
Blackstone Hall rooms
Blackstone Hall is comprised of 51 double rooms and 102 single rooms. There are 4 Resident Advisers in Blackstone Hall. All Rooms are equipped with beds and mattresses (extra long twin), desks, chairs, bookshelves, built in closets, and window shades. Also provided are cable and high speed internet service (wired and wireless). Single Rooms are approximately 9' by 9' not counting the closet and doorway. Double rooms are approximately 9' by 16'.
Blackstone Hall apartments feature a shared kitchen and common space, as well as 1 to 1.5 bathrooms depending on the unit type. Kitchen facilities are of the highest quality. Maple cabinetry and Corian countertops are accented by tile backsplashes, under mount sinks, range hood microwaves, and full size dishwashers, oven/ranges, and refrigerators. Common rooms include couches, and chairs, and tables. Common rooms are carpeted while the rest of the apartment units feature durable and long lasting synthetic hardwood flooring.

Gender neutral bathroom information
Semi-private bathrooms and showers are in each apartment. The number of toilets and showers depend on the number of students in a given apartment. There is also one public gender neutral single stalled bathroom with no shower.
