Are you looking for help with your resume, cover letter, or LinkedIn profile? Whether you’re in the beginning stages and not sure how to get started or just need help polishing your materials before sending them out into the world, our Peer Career Assistants (PCA) are here to help you with your career-related needs.

Need your resume or cover letter reviewed?

The Career Lab is open to support Clark students with résumé and cover letter reviews. Clark students have two options for receiving feedback on their application materials:

Email

For a written review of your materials, please send the following to careerlab@clarku.edu:

The document(s) you need reviewed attached as Word docs or PDFs.
A sentence or two about what you are using these documents to apply for (if possible, include a link to the opportunity so we can provide suggestions on how to tailor your application materials).
The date you need the document reviewed by (please allow 2-3 business days).

Virtual Appointments

For a personal review, schedule a 30-minute virtual appointment by following the instructions below:

Log into Handshake
Select “Career Center” then “Appointments”
Schedule a new “Career Connections Center” appointment with the “Career Lab”

Drop-In Hours: During the academic year (fall and spring semesters), the Career Lab is open for in-person drop-in hours on the first floor of the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center (ASEC) weekdays between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

If you would like to reach out to The Peer Career Assistants (PCA) who reviewed your document, please email careerlab@clarku.edu and use the heading “Question for [First Name]” in the subject line. Your Peer Career Assistants (PCA) will respond to you on the next day they are scheduled to work.

You can also message The Peer Career Assistants (PCA) directly through Handshake.

Select the “Students” tab at the top of the screen.
Use the search bar to find the Career Lab Ambassador you would like to contact.
Click the “Message” button to compose and send a message.

To get the most out of your appointment, please read through the on-demand resources related to your appointment topic in advance and make any revisions you are comfortable making on your own prior to meeting with Career Lab staff.

Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Select “Documents” from the drop-down menu then click the “Add a Document” button to upload your documents.
All documents added to your Handshake profile will be put into a queue to be reviewed by a member of the Peer Career Assistants (PCA) staff.
Please allow 1-3 business days for your document to be reviewed.
You will receive an email when your review is complete. To view comments, log into Handshake, click on the document that has been reviewed, and scroll down to the bottom to view comments.
