Jess joined the Clark community in August of 2021 and currently serves as the Director of Residential Life & Housing. Jess’s primary role centers around supporting the development of an inclusive residential experience for all Clark students. Whether it’s designing a programming model to engage students today or crafting a strategic plan for the future, Jess is always considering the ways the Residential Life & Housing team can best uplift students.

Before finding their way to Clark, Jess has worked in residence life at several institutions over the last six years, focusing on curriculum development, accessibility, and addressing barriers in Title IX and conduct processes. Jess earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies from Smith College. Further pursuing his passion for student-centered support, Jess earned a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration with a focus on sexual violence prevention from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. 

Originally from Rhode Island, Jess is thrilled to call Massachusetts home. In his spare time, you can find Jess trying not to kill his house plants, hunting down the best food MA has to offer, and catering to the whims of his two dogs.

Amanda (she/her/hers) is new to Clark for the summer of 2022 and excited to join the community as an Assistant Director in RLH! Amanda provides leadership for strategic planning and budgeting, housing and operations, student conduct processes, assessment and departmental goal setting for the overall residential experience. Many of these goals involve working closely with Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, and Dining Services to create give Clarkies the best experience possible!

Originally from Newington, CT, Amanda made Worcester her second home when she attended Assumption University and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in 2016 as a double major in Global Studies and History. Amanda went on to receive her Masters of Education from Merrimack College in Higher Education and Student Affairs in 2017. After graduate school, Amanda accepted a position as an Assistant to the Director/Residence Hall Director at Eastern Connecticut State University where she remained for five years. Most recently, Amanda worked with graduate and international students during the end of 2021 and into 2022, but realized her true passion was in residence life and housing and decided to make the switch back (which is how she wound up at Clark!).

In her free time Amanda is a HUGE Boston sports fan, paints, runs an Etsy shop, and spends as much time with her huge Italian family as possible. Her niece, Ella, is the light of her life, along with the family dogs Gunner and Jaxon. When she isn’t working you can usually find Amanda by the beach, if possible, with her nose in a book, playing her Nintendo Switch, re-watching Sons of Anarchy, or online shopping for home decor.

Eden joined Clark University in June of 2023 as the new Assistant Director of Residential Life and Housing for Residential Education. Eden’s role includes assisting our Community Directors and aiding in their development and growth while implementing training and residential curriculum for our student staff. She is very excited to bring her passions to the department and the University that include mentorship, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives and programming, empowerment, and more! 

Prior to working at Clark, Eden returned to her undergraduate alma mater of Western Connecticut State University, serving as a Resident Director for the past 3 years. Eden earned her Master’s of Science in Counseling with a specialization of Student Development in High Education with honors from Central Connecticut State University in May 2023. She completed her practicum at Western’s Intercultural Affairs Office and her academic internship in the Center for Academic Success and Accessibility Services at Southern Connecticut State University. Before Western, she worked at Fisher College as a Student Activities Coordinator and Resident Director for the year following her undergraduate graduation. During her undergraduate experience at Western, Eden found herself to be very involved in Housing as well as Student Affairs as a whole serving as an RA and on several clubs Executive Boards. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in Sociology in 2019. 

In her free time, you can find Eden exploring her home of Worcester with her husband, making new creations on her Cricuit, playing with her niece, spending time with her family in the NY and CT area, catching up on the latest TV show, and figuring out what educational degree she’ll be pursuing next. She also enjoys cooking, trying new recipes she sees on Instagram, and trying new foods. When not in the office, Eden is likely traveling either locally, domestically, or internationally while practicing Arabic. Eden is very much looking forward to this next step in her personal life and professional career and is looking forward to becoming a Clarkie!

Callie (she/her/hers) has worked at Clark since January 2019, first serving in the Facilities department. Having joined RLH in November 2020, as the Office Manager Callie assists the RLH staff by ensuring the smooth running of an office on a day-to-day basis, including purchasing, lock changes, and responding to emails in the departmental email account. Callie also loves to supervise the student staff of office assistants who serve as receptionists. 

Callie has over 5 years experience in higher education working in a variety of institutions in residential life and housing. Former roles include Resident Director, Community Director, and Program Manager with responsibilities including hall management, occupancy, and serving as a student conduct officer. She graduated from Ball State University with a Master’s in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education, and before that earned a Bachelor’s in History from Framingham State College. 

Originally from western Massachusetts, outside of work, Callie enjoys superhero movies (both marvel and dc), watching football (and playing fantasy), traveling, reading, carving pumpkins, and spending time with her husband!

Shon joined Clark University July 2022 as one of the Community Directors for Blackstone, Maywood and Maywood Houses. She hopes to learn more about the team and establish connections to make sure that they are successful at being RAs/Student Leaders. And to also give the RAs many resources outside of Residential Life and Housing to help them connect with their residents and to use when planning for community building activities as well.  

Originally from Georgia, Shon recently graduated from New England College with a B.A in Elementary Education but previously worked in Residential Life and Housing for the last 3 years as an RA. She served many leadership roles within attending New England College from President of her Senior Class, a Peer Success Coach, and worked with Athletics as well giving her a variety of experiences during her undergraduate years. In her last semester at New England College, she did Student Teaching for 3rd graders and has worked closely with the Boys and Girls Clubs.  

In Shon’s free time you can find her exploring new food places, watching tv shows and movies, and is a huge sports person, so keeping up to date with the sports world and watching different games whether that’s professional or at the college level. She also enjoys esports and she played for the esports team at New England College playing NBA 2k, she loves playing board games, playing pool, and just fun competitive games and also enjoys exploring the New England Area and learning more about it.

Jadhan joined Clark University in June of 2023 as one of the new Community Directors for Hughes, Dana and Affinity Houses. He is eager to build relationships with residents and serve as a resource for students to come to whenever they need it. He wants to use his past undergraduate experiences as a student to help students navigate the waters of college. Not only be a resource for residents but also be a resource for RA’s and offer guidance with his past experiences within the role. He is excited to bring his love for wellness, experiences with navigating diversity, and warm presence to the RLH department and the University.

Prior to working at Clark, Jadhan served as a Community Assistant at Siena College with each year of the role being in a different level of specialization. He started off as a new CA to then transitioning as Wellness CA with a primary focus on aiding residents in mental health need whether it is anxiety, homesickness, or stress to then becoming a Mentor CA which has allowed him to oversee multiple populations on campus and serve as a guide to his staff. He also held multiple leadership roles on campus such as being a Damietta Advocate, a senior women center leader, Mr. Siena Coordinator which is responsible for putting on Siena’s biggest fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity and an intern for health promotions. Jadhan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Social work minor in May of 2023 and has set plans to continue to get his master’s at Clark.  

In his free time, you can find Jadhan trying new food places around Worcester, visiting family in NYC, binge watching tv shows or rewatching tv shows several times, doing photography and fashion and just exploring his new home in Worcester. When Jadhan is not in the office, he is catching up on the latest video games as well as testing out new recipes in the kitchen. He is happy to be here at Clark and cannot wait to explore what Clark has to offer.

Madden joined the RLH team in June 2022 as the Community Director for Wright and Bullock halls. He hopes to create a safe and productive environment for first-year students to set themselves up for success throughout their time here at Clark. 

Originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, Madden went north to Potsdam State to earn a B.A. in mathematics. During his time at Potsdam, he worked as a resident assistant as well as a teaching assistant for a first-year success seminar. Afterwards, he pursued his M.S. in student affairs administration at Binghamton University while working as a Graduate Resident Director at Broome Community College.  

Madden likes to hike, listen to music and travel to places that he has never been to before.
