Media Arts Study Hub

 

Overview

Located on the second floor of the Traina Center for the Arts, the Media Arts Study Hub (MASH) serves to generate scholarship, ideas, and artworks via input from all of the Visual and Performing Arts programs. The MASH is an open study space equipped with a wide array of modern and legacy technology.

The MASH houses the Visual and Performing Arts media collections, including:

  • The Screen Studies Blu-rays DVDs, and archival VHS and 16mm film
  • The Music program audio CDs
  • The Music program Sheet Music library
  • Art History images, 35mm slides, documents and texts
  • Studio Art images, documents, and texts

Policies

  • Use of collection material and technology is restricted to inside the MASH, unless otherwise indicated.
  • Items may only be checked out with MASH staff approval.
  • A valid Clark ID must be presented to access material.
  • Use of the Resource Library space and materials must adhere to the following:

    ITS Appropriate Use and Copyright Policies

Resources

The Media Arts Study Hub is an open study space, and features individual and group workspaces. Other resources include:

  • Large wall-mounted screen with 4K Blu-ray, PC, laptop and screen-share capability
  • Full room conferencing camera and microphone
  • 16mm film projectors and rewind set
  • VHS, Betamax, and Laserdisc players
  • Audio listening/capture station with turntable and cassette deck
  • Analog to digital A/V transfer station
  • PC station
  • Flatbed document and image scanners
