Academic Technology is here to help with the move to Canvas. We know it’s impossible to learn everything in a single training so we’re going to offer a variety of sessions designed to help you and your students be successful.

This session will cover basic navigation and editing skills in Canvas so you can add, organize and modify content in your course. We’ll also look at how to create Modules to structure the flow of your class, and take a look at grading basics.

Each session will take approximately 1 hour, and cover much of the same content, but with flexibility to address specific questions and concerns from attendees.

This session will focus on some more advanced Canvas topics including using rubrics, navigating the SpeedGrader to offer audio or video feedback, Gradebook settings and much more.

This session will cover how students can start using Canvas for their classes. It will introduce account settings, using the dashboard to access courses, the communication options, and the calendar. We’ll also discuss how students can navigate their courses and check their progress and grades, including ‘what-if grades’.
