Undergraduate day school students who did not apply for aid their first year and would like to apply for need-based aid in subsequent years should contact the Office of Financial Assistance at 1-508-793-7478, prior to the returning student priority filing deadline of March 15.

U.S. Students who have received need-based aid previously and would like to apply for renewal of their financial aid will need to remit, no later than the March 15, deadline:

  • FAFSA school code  002139
  • Clark Application – follow the return instructions on the form
  • Check your CUWEB portal to remit any additional information needed for review

Returning students, who previously received need-based aid, do not need to remit the CSS Profile in subsequent years. Filing your financial aid forms and remitting any additional required documentation with the appropriate processing centers and the University by the priority filing deadlines listed will ensure that you are considered for all federal, state and institutional financial aid programs.

If the student’s file is selected for verification, we will need the necessary documents remitted to our office for review, prior to the student’s financial aid being awarded. Communications from our office are sent to the students via their Clark e-mail and CUWEB portal. Students for whom additional information is requested or who complete after the deadline will be awarded in the order applications were completed. You should allow two weeks after the completion of the file to receive notification of an award. If a student wishes to decline a portion of their financial aid award, please contact our office at 1-508-793-7478.

Financial aid eligibility is based on the tax-filers income from 2 years prior. For example, students applying for financial aid consideration for the 2018-2019 academic year will provide income information from the 2016 tax year as filed with the IRS.

To satisfy the tax documentation requirement when applying for need-based financial assistance, if we are in need of verification of income, we will require the IRS data retrieval tool, available on the FAFSA, to be utilized. If you are unable to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool we may require an official IRS Tax Return Transcript ordered directly from the IRS at
